I was at Borders scanning through the shelf and a title caught my attention: [Whatever you think, think the opposite]
Took it and flipped through the pages and I was stuck... Love the book. It makes you think and reflect on many things in life, viewing things in life, and to think out of the box in life... It involves courage. It involves risks. It involves even faith to believe. Are you ready for change?

Change will never take place when you perceive no desire to change anything. Are you satisfied with where you are now? Are you satisfied with your life? Do you have a dream? Bible says that if you have no vision, you perish.

You have a dream and it's not fulfilled yet. That's why it's a dream of yours.
Either you find a way of getting it, or be satisfied with dissatisfaction.

Make your choice. Do something or stay in your little comfort zone.

You are where you are because of the decisions you made in life.

God is our provider, always and forever. Amen.

Mat6:33 "seek first His kingdom and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you."

"all these things"... see the word "all"?! It means every thing. It includes $$, career, clothes to wear, every thing!

NLT says, "and He will give you all you need from day to day if you live for Him and make the Kingdom of God your primary concern."
"all you need from day to day".... Isn't God good??!!!!!!!

That is why the following verses said, "
so don't worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries..."

He provides your day to day needs. Don't be silly to worry about tomorrow, things that you are not even sure that will happen! Don't overworked your body by being worrisome about every thing.... Do you not know that your body is created in such a way that when you feel stress or worry, your body will try to protect yourself by engaging into a flight/fight mode.... Dont' stress yourself.

So what is manna?

Exodus16:31 "In time, the food became known as manna. It was white like coriander seed, and it tasted like honey cakes."

God will provide, YES, but you need to input too ok. Remember, only two hands can clap.
God don't encourage us to be a sluggard or else you won't find the so many of the words like  "lazy", "sluggard" in the Proverbs....

Exodus16:4 "Then the Lord said to Moses, "Look, I'm going to rain down food from heaven for you. The people can go out each day and pick up as much food as they need for that day...."

See, we have to go out each day and pick up food for ourselves for that day.

And here comes the amazing thing:

Exodus16:17-18 "So the people of Israel went out and gathered this food--some getting more, and some getting less. By gathering two quarts for each person, everyone had just enough. Those who gathered a lot had nothing left over, and those who gathered only a little had enough. Each family had just what it needed."

Every individual has different level of hunger, desperation, needs....
Regardless of those who gathered much or those only gathered a little, they all had just enough to satisfy their needs accordingly.

So don't be silly again to compare yourself with someone else. You're unique. You're not Mr./Ms. Faker.... -_-"'
BUT its not an excuse for you to NOT DO more.... You know yourself, you know how much you can offer. Don't become calculative too!

Do your devotion. Spend the precious moment with God, get to know Him deeper and closer people. Don't treat Him as SOS/999. Don't play God.

Exodus16:19-20 "Then Moses told them, "Do not keep any of it overnight. But, of course, some of them didn't listen and kept some of it until morning. By then it was full of maggots and had a terrible smell..."

See that, you need fresh bread every day!!!! Not stale bread. It cannot be kept overnight. So if you have been skipping your quiet time, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. Don't eat stale bread... I bet you DON'T EAT STALE BREAD, but why do you choose to eat STALE SPIRITUAL FOOD?????

Do you feed yourself only on Sunday when Pastor preached and chew on that same food until next sunday.
Come on, change and move on.....
Physically no body wants to be skinny and short isn't it. We tried our best to try to grow taller by drinking more milk, playing basketball, jumping..... Why not use those effort on your spirit body too???!!!!!!!

The best bread you can get.... Is JESUS.

John6:58 "I am the true bread from heaven. Anyone who eats this bread will live forever and not die as your ancestors did, even though they ate the manna."

Is Jesus in your life? Is He your All? If Jesus is not your All, He is nothing at all....

Yesterday I was switching channels and came across channel 5 showing Hellboy. (when I watched it, already close to ending... sob sob, anyone has DVD to spare?! ^.^)

Wow, Hellboy got it all man. Love it when the evil man asked him, "What have you done?"
He answered, "I chose."

Yes, live is all about making decision. You have a choice!!!!
Man is all about the choices you make in life, that gives you your story/experience.

It's not how you start, but how you choose to end.

Be blessed. Have faith in God.

Never shortchange yourself or belittle yourself. How many out there started out perfect? If you have been living long enough (hahaha), you would know that there is no one perfect except God Himself.

I wasn't born in a Christian family. By that, you probably can guess that I was THAT holy or righteous in the first place. Name the sins in the Bible, I probably had done tons of them... wahahaha. I'm not proud of it. But it's a past that I know I have been forgiven for and have learned my ways. It's my testimony ^.^

I am not what I am based on my past/history.

I am who I am and I am what I am according to the Word of God.

With God, it isn't who you were that matters; it's who you are becoming.

Learn from Rahab the prostitue:

Our past does not determine our future.
Rahab is remembered not for her harlotry BUT for her bravery. Not for loving men BUT for trusting God.

1) Rahab's courageous act earned her a spot in the Hebrews honor roll:

By faith the prostitute Rahab, because she welcomed the spies, was not killed with those who were disobedient. Heb11:31

In the same way, we need to get past out past and stop telling ourselves we don't "deserve" forgiveness, don't deserve anything. No one does..... It's a gift from God.

2) And she became an ancestress of the royal line of David:

Salmon the father of Boaz, whose mother was Rahab, Boaz the father of Obed, whose mother was Ruth, Obed the father of Jesse, and Jesse the father of King David. Mat1:5-6

3) She was the used by James to teach about living faith:

You see that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone. In the same way, was not even ahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction? Jas2:24-25

So, are you still depressed/guilty over your past? Or even now? Don't be silly......
If you know you have been forgiven, you have been forgiven indeed.

Move on and live a new victorious life with God!

Be blessed.

Tit1:7-9 "He must be blameless - not overbearing, not quick-tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent, not pursuing dishonest gain. Rather he must be hospitable, one who loves what is good, who is self-controlled, upright, holy and disciplines. He must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it."

Tit2:2 "To be temperate, worthy of respect, self-controlled, and sound in faith, in love and in endurance."

Tit2:7-8 "In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us."

Tit3:1-2 "To be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good, to slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate, and to show true humility toward all men."

Tit3:9 "Avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and useless."

森山先生recommended this movie to us during class... Hee.

I liked the movie. It is not like normal funny & crappy movies out in the market. I personally learned a lot from the movie. Wahahaha.... I feel that if I have to spend $$$ and time in the threatre, I better make sure I can learn something out of it. (Of course there are exceptions where I purely want to watch no-brainer movies to relax myself). Oh... Hahaha. and this movie talks about the same thing as what Pastor preached in the service. The hidden treasure in the clay pot! Heee....

Lessons:

1) Look not upon your physical self and belittle yourself. Look beyond and find that god has place in your hidden treasures where only you can perform that special task. Like Susan, when she looked upon herself, she saw a weak lady (though already grown 100XXX her normal size) who is incapable of doing anything significant. But when she found and discover her new strength, she saved the world.

*And remember, when you are weak, God is strong! God is always BIGGER than your problems ^.^

2) Ladies watch out for selfish men... Don't be like Susan to only realized it after getting hit by the meteor stone. Look for signs on his commitment, his visions, his plans for "OUR" future not "HIS" future. God has the best for you, don't go for the second prize.

But, do learn from Susan that nothing is too late for change. Realized it, kick him out of your life..and its a GOAL~~

3) Determination. What drives you to move? When Susan's supernatural power was gone and she was back to her normal self and size, she was courageous to fight the enemy. Why? Because of true friendship. She wanted to save her friends. She looked not upon herself anymore, but was determine even at the cost of her own life, to save her friends! And she did saved them~

* Remember the 4 Ds preached by Pastor Abraham?
(i) Decisiveness
(ii) Desire
(iii) Dedication
(iv) Determination

4) If insect and monsters know who to love and show care and concern, people out there... you have no excuse not to know how to do it!!!! Especially so if you are a child of God!!! ^.^

Chew it on. Be blessed ~
